Visordown's GSX-R1100J (very) long termer gets Venhill quick-action throttle

THAT, MY FRIENDS, is Venhill's new dual action 500A throttle, residing on Visordown's slightly older 1988 Suzuki GSX-R1100J project bike.

Originally designed for use on motocrossers and speedway bike, Venhill's quick-action throttle is becoming increasingly popular on the circuits with superbike and supersport racers, hence my decision to install one on our cutting edge 22-year-old slabby.

The system's tuneable, depending on the rider's needs; on the fastest setting there is 68° of rotation (taking up 36mm of the cable), while on the regular setting there is 80° of rotation, which delivers a slightly quicker action than most original equipment twist grips (that rotate by 90°).

Confused? Me too. I'll let you know more when it's rigged up properly.

The Venhill 500A retails for £39.20 Including VAT.
