ZZR600 D (91) Brakes

Can I fit ZZR400 Brake discs to a ZZR600?

Diameter and thickness are fine to straight swap, but cannot find any info on height?

I only ask because 400 discs are cheaply available everywhere and yet 600 discs seem to require a re-mortgage and a branded name. EBC don't even make them? but Brembo do and thats £££'s.

I can buy two sets of 400 discs for the cost of one set of 600's. They share the rear disc but no-one seems to know about the fronts.

Any help would be much appreciated.

By "height" do you mean "difference between outer and inner diameter", or do you mean "offset from the wheel"?

Sorry, when I say height I mean offset.

The ones knocking about in online stores all seem to be 12-14mm.

The offset of the discs on my bike are 18-20mm ???

Can't say about the 400 discs but I bought a set of Kagizumi discs off ebay and they were about half the EBC price.(??160 per pair)
Got me through the MOT but seem to have some warping after 18 months light use.
I would sooner buy a good used set than use these again.

Interesting forum page here on the ZZR international forum. Looks like the discs for a LOT of the bikes are interchangeable, but they all have 13,5mm offset.

How did you measure the offset on yours? Is there anything unusual about the calipers or brake set-up on your bike?

Might also be worth giving someone like All Bike Engineering a call - I've always found 'em very helpful.

You might also give the company selling and making these a call.

And ISR have a few specs for standard discs here.

Anyway, I'm sure after those links your enthusiasm for google will be renewed so I'll let you go hunting for other info - I just searched "ZZR600 discs offset".
