suspension settings(preload)

I read in last weeks mcn about setting up the zx7, the bloke doing it (Keith) said 120mm used travel at front is about right for any sports bike when ridden. Any one got any thoughts on this, I own a tl1000r. If anyone can help me plz:smoke:

There's a couple of web sites about dedicated to TL's and TLR's. Ask Couch Commando, he used to have one and knows a bit about setting them up.
