Scorpion Exhausts

Just after Christmas I bought a road legal Scorpion can as my original exhaust cracked beyond repair. I was very happy with the exhaust cos the bike went better and sounded better.
After about a month I started to notice a rattling noise when I was sitting ticking over at traffic lights etc. It gradually got louder and louder, it turned out to be the can rattling. As the rattling got worse also the note from the exhaust when riding got louder. This didn't worry too much but the rattling was a bit embarrasing so I got on to Scorpion and hopefully will be getting a replacement any day from them.
Today though, on the way to the Ace Cafe for the 'SadBoyz' demonstration, I suddenly lost power on the M4. I couldn't get above 6k revs and it felt like it was going to cut out when I opened it full throttle. I also noticed the rattling noise had gone when I was ticking over. When I got home I took the can off to have a better look at and found the blocking disc in the exhaust that forces the noise and exhaust thru the baffles had moved. I got a long screwdriver and pushed it back. Boom, back to full power and a decent noise again.

Just wondered if anyone else have had any problems with Scorpion cans as Scorpion say they dont do many warranty exhausts?

Hi

Nope ~ I ran a stainless oval Scorpion on my old GSXR1100H for about 18 months and although the noise got gradually louder over time ( packing braking down - can be repacked at Scorpion and probably at other places too) the can was top gear...only my experience though..don't know anyone else with one

I have a road legal carbon can from them....where the can is clamped it has actually "pinched" the carbon and distorted it...not happy.
