Ok.

bajaj 50cc scoot. Battery is fine, plugs is fine, serviced about 200miles ago.
Has Oil and Petrol.

Press the button and starter motor comes to life but will not start the engine.

every 15 - 20 seconds, the exhaust says "BANG" and abnormally (air) pressure comes out with a noise like a branch snapping (but a bit more metally)

I'm a bit worried about this, any ideas?

Has it suddenly started doing this or were there any symptoms leading up to it?

Are you certain the plug is OK? Have you checked for a good spark?

For oils/lubricants/greases also filters, batteries and the like. (it's a bit like Halfords but he knows what he's talking about!) all @ very competative prices

I'm not an expert, hopefully one of them will be along in a minute, but the TDM does that if I forget to switch the fuel tap on when starting (it has a fuel leak so have to switch the tap off every night).

Just a thought...
