hi guys my name is brian bought a 2001 r6 5eb about a year ago wasent firing on no 4 piston it had done 26.000 miles,anyway decided to look into prob first to do a compression test, wow no 1-2-3 cylender brill no 4 cylender only had about 65 psi. after a strip down found no 4 cylender with a big chunk of the barrel gone.only to find all the piston rings had stuck in there grooves . any way it was scrap --since then i have bought two engines of ebay just to strip down @ cheque out ,after doing exactly the same tests as i did on my engine. i found out these 5eb engines ,do have very much the same problems .
