Hole in Exhaust???

My CBR400RR is on its original end can, but, I noticed the other day a hole about 1 mm wide at the very bottom near the front. It actually looks like the hole has been drilled because it is perfectly round and there is no signs of corrosion.

Should there be a hole there?
Should it be plugged in some way??

Is it going to fail an (imminent) MOT?

The Fazer has one too. I think it's for draining off condensation to stop the silencer rusting from the inside out.

Will it fail its MOT??

Just that I never noticed it till the other day.

Makes sense that it is a drain hole coz of its position.

Can't see it failing MOT since it's a design feature of the silencer. It doesn't leak exhaust gases.

But there are exhaust gases coming out of it.

If you wanna test its working get a hosepipe and stick it up the exhaust if water comes out its clear.

If water comes out the air box its blocked.
