is this stuff semi-synthetic?

Thats what the sellers says, but the lack of the word "semi" on the bottle has given me doubts. . . .

Synthetic ester based is indeed semi-synthetic. And it's rather more accurate than "semi-synthetic" which covers a very broad range of spec.

Best bet  is see what the SAE and JAPO ratings on it are... From the name I'm guessing it's Silkolene?

yeah, it is.....cheers Tappy, you're the 2nd to have said that , and the ratings match so i've topped her up!

Just the total lack of the word "semi" on the bottle made a few alarm bells sound. I'm a simple soul, me
