Changing fork oil without dropping them out

Anyone done this, I've changed my enduro bike, dont have to drop those forks out.

Seems uneccessary to have to drop them out like Haynes says.  Its for my CBR600 FY  Found this site

http://www.gadgetjq.com/fork_oil_change.htm just suggests sucking the oil out as I had already thought to do.

You won't get the sludge out of the bottom.

I stand 'em upside down for a day or so, and I've got some cleaning fluid that evaporates so I slosh a bit of that in, shake 'em about and stand upside down again.

One of the advantages of having a spare set of fork legs I suppose - I've got a wash and wear

what the others said. you're changing the oil because its full of shit, but doing it as you say will change the oil but will not clear sludge.
