HI, looking for a similar paint match for the following Honda colour:the colour is white (NH193P- PEARL WHITE ) anyone know a car colour to the nearest match ?? needing a cheap touch up paint pen from halfords.
any help much appreciatted.

Some Halford stores can mix up a paint match for u.

I hade some done about a month ago. Brilliant

RS paint wilkl do it..Number in post above..Ive used them before.. can recommend them

I "tried" to use RS paint,I think its a waste of money.I found it so thin that it would not cover until you had so much on that it would run.Go to a car place and take a sample of the paint,a small panel.They have swabs with holes in and you can get a really good match this way.I spray one to two bikes a year(complete bikes) and always use car paint.The BM below is Fiat Rosso red.

don't use halfords paints,they're the worst quality conceivable!try

they've got a good selection.

Also take your time on them,prepare with 240/400,sand between coats with 1500 and allow good drying time (1-2 hrs depending on conditions) between coats.don't forget temperature is critical,take the piece indoor and warm it on a radiator(my missus loves this part) and clean them well as dust and dirt will show.good luck

I've never had a problem purchasing genuine touch up paint from the manufacturer.  Sometimes it's a bit expensive but still normally cheaper than RS Bike Paints.

I used RS Paints earlier this year. Found my colour on their website & got a lot of helpful advice - the match to my Fireblade was bang on.

Is there anyone who used a RS paint candy colour ore a translucent pearl colour (this means y've got to use a groundcoat)? How was the colour match is what i'd like to know

I have used RS Bike Paints touch up and spray paint on many bikes. They're a mixed bag. I got an exact match from them on these paints:

2002 Honda CBR600 red, non metallic and black frame paint (aerosol)

1998 Kawasaki ZX-6R lime green, non metallic

Others were absolutely nowhere near:

2003 Honda Silverwing, silver metallic

2001 Honda Silverwing, pearl blue metallic

2001 Yamaha Thundercat, red candy metallic

2001 Yamaha Thundercat silver frame paint

1998 Kawasaki ZX-6R frame paint

1999 Kawasaki ZX-7R frame paint

1989 Yamaha RXS100 engine casing paint aerosol

2000 Honda VTR1000 red, non metallic

In my experience you have no chance of getting a metallic or candy paint from them to match the intended bike while some solid non metallic colours may match but don't count on it. I still use them because I haven't found anything better and a non-matching touch up is still better than leaving the scratches

Would have to agree with pedro, halfords paints are poor quality!
Go to bikecolours.com, Mal is the guy that runs it just tell him your paint code and he will mix you an exact match. Mine cost me £8 for a colour and lacquer kit.

I tried to use RS paint, I think its a waste of money. Colour does not match. I Asked for refund. They responce to it was that I used too much paint for sample so I need to proove colour is wron by sending a panel from scooter. Customer service is horrible.

Hmmm, sorry to hear that, but again, I know loads of people that have used them, loved them and recommended them. I've always found their customer service and expertise to be top-notch...
