Does anyone have experience of putting a big bore kit onto a Honda XR600 (94) model? (Yes futter I know you do!) lol.
I am being told various different things: Vic Eastwoods (wiseco importers) tell me I need to bore and sleeve my barrel for a 628 piston, futter says that I can bore the standard barrel to take the 628 and TTS say that the standard barrel can be taken out to 654cc. HELP!!!!!
Does anyone know the correct story??? I get the impression that eastwoods are trying to fleece me for a £50 sleeve when I don't need it. Any other places I should try for big bore kits and/or advice?

Wouldn't surprise me at all. I'm not a fan of them, or their outragous prices.

Speak to the guys at Boretech in Henfield. Or speak to Swampy.

All I know is that I had the standard liner on 628cc

Failing that speak to Paul at Littlehampton M/C's (see number in Sig)

Walking in town the other day and I spotted a piece of walking excrement. I pointed it out to the wife. She could not see it. I pointed again but to no avail. I took her right up to it and nearly stepped on it ... oh that she said. No dear, thats a copper.

A standard XRcilinder (97mm)can take a 100 mm piston (628cc)in the standard sleeve,a bigger sleeve(L.a. Sleeve/wiseco...) is better, cilinder thickness becomes very thin with the standard sleeve with the 100mm piston.

A HRC xr-cilinder or a Dominator(NX650) have standard a 100mm piston ,they can be take to 640cc(101mm) or to 660cc (102.4mm) with no problems. The 102.4mm Wiseco is a piston for the USA only XR650RL with the Dominator engine(air c.).Very nice power, something like a standard XR 650 R (liquid c.).Big headers and big carb and airbox modifications are a must with these mods.

Always check and modify (see Wiseco or JE installation guide )the ring end gap with all aftermarket pistons otherwise you will burn oil in a few miles. New in the box there is too little or no endgap ...
