i was hoping to buy a bike for under 1.5k then i would have a little left over for a lid, bolt on goodies etc

i'm currently watching 67 bikes on fleabay but only a handful are in essex

Im sure there are thousands of bikes near you for sale

but you are a little restricted by type and budget.

As i said i have this XR250 coming in part exchange on Saturday 54 plate 1,800 Kms. £2000

annoyingly alot of the stuff that has finshed on ebay over the weekend has been exactly what i want and in budget - just the other end of the country

That's alway the way, bikes are usually more expensive in the SE. You can travel, but it's a bit of a gamble unless you know for sure the bike won't be a munter.

I have often had a completely wasted 200+ mile trip for a MINT bike
