TM40 carb jetting for XR650R

does anyone know what size jets i should start out with?
it's for a TM40 carb and it's going on a XR650R.
pilot is 17.5 and the main is 140. it runs toooooo lean.

I think my TMR is on 175 main, stock needle position and loads of holes in the airbox cover. The backfire screen has been butchered and there's a high flow filter in there too.

the bike has a full race Big Gun and a Uni filter with lots
butchering on the airbox too.

XR650 with Leo Vince X3 open race can + CRD oversize headers,No toil airfilter ,no back fire screen,12 holes(diam.36mm) in side panel

Mikuni TM40: pilotjet: 27.5 ,mainjet:165,airnozzle for pilot :1.0 ,needle: 1 from full rich.

hey rb929rr, I have a tm40 on mine. currently running 20 pilot and 142.5 or 145 main-i can't remember. screw is out between 2.5 and 3.0 turns also. I run a full Moriwaki exhaust and the bike is uncorked, but with the stock filter, backfire screen, and side panel. I also have the pump set to come on as late as possible, works well. hope this helps- good luck-Jeff
