I already have!!! I posted it on saturday morning, but just for your intrest, it is the cylinder head base gasket that has gone, I was fitting my off road wheels on friday and noticed oil running down the side of the engine, so fired the bugger up and traced the leak to behind the cylinder head,

So off to the dealer and what do they say? yeah we've had a fair few of theses back because of that!!! anyway they are ordering the parts on monday and hopefully it should be up and running shortly(or should that be hopefully shortly),

I make no secret of it(honestly ) I like to consider myself a un-biased type of person and I'm no more loyal to CCM than any other bike manufacturer out there BUT I am a bit pi**ed off with CCM, again more than I have been with any other Bike that I have owned in the past, so here it is the full un-cut list of problems I've had with my brand new 644 dual sport,

1, Head bearing repacked with grease at 700mile's(warranty job so fair enough),
2, from 700 miles onward momentarily cutting out in 5th gear, it has spent two days in the workshop trying to get tothe bottom of this problem, still not fixed.
3, base gasket goes at 1947 miles
4,Off-road wheels took 3 months to arrive,

I dont want to seem to be unfair about CCM, but I've bought through the years a brand new DR650,DRZ400,MZ Baghira and never had any problems that have rendered them off road so why should I settle for less now,

I do like riding the 644, and compared to some problems other have had with other brands off bike my problems may seem like small fish, but again I've not had to put up with these type of faults before and one of the reasons the ccm appealed to me was the low maintinance schedule and hassle free suzuki motor!!!

So I'm not sure if the CCM will be coming back from the dealers when it's fixed, I've got a few other bike swirling about in my head now so we will see

Sunny

I felt the same with CCMs. It wasn't so much my bike that was a problem, but CCM and thier attitude. When my sprag clucth went it went to Jack Lilleys to get repaired. Despite both Lilleys and me arguing with CCM, CCM would not contribute anything towards the repair, although it was only 2 weeks out of warranty. Clearly a pre exisiting condition, but not according to CCMs. Normally i would fight this sort of thing and take it to court. But this just deflated me and I couldn't be arsed.

I spoke at length with Chris Auger at CCM and lots of CCM dealers. I formed the opinion, which was genarally agreed with, CCMs are too succesful too fast. They cant actually handle the rate of growth they are undergoing. Lots of things are suffering because of this. Parts orders, warranty claims etc.

CCM have recently recieved nearly 5 million from investment bankers to counter these problems. Hence the new premises etc. The new CCMs and the (not very) secret TL thou engined bikes are supposed to secure thier fortune and standing in the market place. It sad that the cost was high on the way.

best,

Dave
