Revised final tech regs are available on the Moto GB website www.motogb.net

Headlines apparently, are no fuel regs, catchtank capacity limit modified and a few other small items but before you ask, noise limits are unchanged

Remember these regs apply to NORA, SSM and MRO in case you were unsure.

If you have a query about your machine (cue Dave 'I like to query anything and everything' Lippet ) then please use the contact form on the website for a personal response.

Think I've found a nice one in the Tech' reg's which will allow competitors to protest a simple tech ' infringement by rival competitors...It's a silly little one too...............

A virtual beer to any other sad git who spots it...

Scanning the Standing reg's there's one will which will be very unpopular with some of the faster guys I reckon....

"12. TYRE WARMERS.
Tyre warmers are not allowed inside the assembly area or on the grid, except when a notification has been made in the Championship Conditions or Final Instructions."

As long as there's not an excessive time spent in the holding area it should be OK, but surely it could be seen as a potential safety concern?

The clue is in the last part of the sentence....... But having said that I don't remember anyone at NORA specifically using tyre warmers in the collection area for years.....

Dave (George Carmen QC) Lippet, you are just a VD attention seeking whore who would attend the opening of an envelope.

I can't wait to see how many Visordown portents of disaster actually turn to reality.

F**k me, if you believed everything you read on here you'd take up knitting :burnout:

Edit I'm not sparring with you all night I'm off to the pub - see you at the first protest )

Dave that's not really anything new that was how it was at the MRO SM 2004 events. It just means everyone tries to turn up at the holding area as late as possible to ensure their tyres remain at optinium temp.

Supermoto is a state of mind.

well the first one i've seen is the peg height on motards they are usually fixed to the frame and the height is unchangable, i have no idea if the KXF pegs are the saem as the swing arm or not......fuck all i can do about it if they arent though.

the only other thing that caught my eye was the handlebar stuff, but i dont think it'll be a problem.

tyre warmers not on the grid or holding grid hmmmmmmmm i know bemsee run a slick ship and get you out quickly but it'll be carnage as everyone tries to get ot the forming up grid just intime and to then try and get their places.

gonna be er interesting to say the least

I'm guessing from the wording that the supplementary reg's will allow it at certain circuits...Depending upon paddock layout.
What would have been maybe better to implement was an "Only mechanics with the correct arm band allowed into box to fit tyre warmers" sort of thing?

That way it keeps pitlane tidy(ish) chaos minimised and allows savvy riders to keep their tyres warm.....

The one that made me laugh and could be protested was the specific sizing for race numbers, 140mm high * 25mm thk.....Think they should have stated minimum sizes as I'm being a pedant....

Would be funny to get disqualified for running oversize numbers...

'Zactomundo.....
Could lead to riders getting excluded for speeding thro' the pits...

We circumvented the rule a little at a couple of the '04 events... ...by running neoprene tyre blankets in the holding area....They ain't tyre warmers, they're heat retaining devices....No one complained or protested...

Take a look at attached pic' and decide for yerself....
Think most 'tards will sail thro', but it seems an unecessary stipulation TBH....

What?
You mean reading the rules properly and trying to interpret them in the way any inventive person should do?

If yer gonna have rules, they should be as easy as possible to interpret, and just maybe, some smartarse picking holes in them publicly could prevent embarrasing protests and fuck-ups at yer meetings?
Fuck me, I gotta stop this being a helpful bastard stuff....
