I would like to replace the original X-ring chain on my KTM Duke 2 with a non sealed chain, specifically a “RK GB 520 MXZ3” my questions are thus,
The RK chain has a tensile strength of 8800 ibs but its only rated for bikes upto 500cc however the standard DID chain has a 8120 ibs rating but the manufacturer says it’s suitable for a 750cc bike, I understand that large singles are demanding on chains but are there any other factors I need to consider before purchase and would the RK chain be suitable for my 625cc single?
Also I know that I need a 520 chain and I know the length I need but in the manual it say’s that I need a chain with a pitch of 5/8” and a inner width of ¼” but I can’t find this info on the RK chain so dose anyone know if this chain would fit my bike or what the inner width and pitch is?
Thanks for any positive response.
