hi guys and girls

newbie here to both supermoto and this site , need help any bike mechanics in the bristol or south west somerset to fix my yzf426 valve clearances having a few problems with glowing front pipe after short journeys any help apreciated

Glowing front pipe isn't unusual on them..... MY WR450 used to do it, as does my mate's YZ426.

Not that it isn't worth *checking* your valve clearances, but that's a much easier job than adjusting them on YZ/WRs.....

checked the clearences that is the problem i think just cant find any one to do them ,

soya milk lol u need some good old full fat dairy milk , good for everything lol

Oh, in that case it's beyond what I can advise ya on... I can do old fashioned tappets OK, but have never had to do bucket & shim type ones.... never had my WR for long enough


Don't think it's meant to be a massively complicated job..... but a bit more involved than what it is on the XR, as (IIRC?) you need to lift the camshaft out to swap the shims out....
