my megelli 125 motard

hi visordown members , i brought a new megelli motard 125 thinkin this was the pathway to learning to ride a geard bike and after the first week i had the baffles and the seals on my bike rattle loose , wich was then fixed, or so i thought . after 3 months all was well i was enjoying riding my new bike . then a very nice gentleman decided to pull out on me , wich was not the worst thing that happend in this incident it was the fact that my front brake lever broke of in my hand i told the garage and they informed me that i hatd to claim of his insurance wich i tried but is was not taken seriously and he didnt have to pay out , now on further reflection as the exhaust has caused the bike to complelty seize up after a year , the only conclusion is that these bike are complete shit and they should never have got passed a product quality test in the first place , if anyone knows how i can sort this dilemma out please reply

i bought the 125r and have had a shit load of probs too, would not recomend megelli to my worst enemy. i wont even be selling the bike on to anyone else ...

Hi, I have a Megelli 125 naked that I bought second hand at 10 months old and 1200 on the clock. I have to say, it has been pretty good. I use it regularly and it has never caused me a problem. Ok, it's not the quickest bike at this level but it has seen me through my first 7 months of riding on the road in London.

Sorry to hear that you guys have had problems with them, can't say the same.

I have had one for two years, dropped it a few times crashed it a couple of times and its still works fine.

I think the problem is people expect them to be a everyday commuter bike but they are not. They are more for short distance rides and low mileage. With bikes nothing indicates more how good they are going to be than the price.

People need to be realistic, this bike looks good sounds good, rides ok, is average 125 slow.

I have also heard a lot of bad things about rival bikes in this price range so its a bit of luck and being a sensible rider i.e changing gears or throttling back instead of blowing the thing up.

i own a megelli 125 m i bought it off a guy who had left it standing for 6 months not had much problems just abit of hassle starting in the morning but that was carb but thats carbs for ya suck up sum crap and gives you trouble but afta took carb out giv it a good clean out starts sweet but overall great bike for the price looks and sounds much bigger than a 125 not that fast but its a 4 stroke 125 what do you expect people just need to take care of there bikes and then you wont get problems

Sorry to Say this but my brother has a 125r and the dealer stopped selling them two minutes after my bro purchased his.

Its been a nighmare to start and after some time would cut out and not start again. After much testing and my mate who is a magic mechanic taking a twenty second look at it and two sec test the bike had vibrated so much the gasket between carb & engine had disintergrated. this meant air was being drawn in, also Megelli didnt put one on the other side which is present in their exploded diagram.

Now all that work has been done, the carb stripped and cleaned replaced guess what????............. won't idle, dies repeatedly and with a world of tweaking still will not run, so I tested every part of the ignition, cleaned the air filter and tried again.... still nothing changed.

Was thinking about re-jetting to try and get something out of it but I'm at the end of my teather. I feel so bad for bringing my big brother into motorbiking on such a piece of Sh*t.

Megelli have yet to respond to my begging requests for technical information or string of complaints. I am going to try this before turning up at Megelli to see what they say!!!!!!

i have the megelli 125m, i got it for a swap on a 58plate with only 2000 miles on, the condition was great cosmetically but the 1 big problem was that the person who i got it off blew all the electrics & i mean he done a good job to because all the bulbs were black and the regulator literally had a hole straight through it but now i have it all fixed. it passed the MOT 1st time and its quite quick it does 86mph top at the moment and thats with everything standard apart from the removal of the baffles, i made the standard end can into a straight through pipe and its much better also i have wrapped the plastics with carbon fibre vinyl and put a HID Xenon headlight in with the ballast, heres some pictures of my bike

hi - i have the megelli 125m i havnt even had this bike a year and its cost me a shit load ov money! The engine has blow up on me so i am looking for a replacment engine if anyone has a 1 or no any1 that does would buy it straight away ??? love this bike looks gd sounds gd just costs a bomb 2 keep fixin it !

you do know theyre chinese bikes with an italian sounding name imported by a uk chinese/cover company dont you? if not i most definetly advise you to research a manufacturer before buying their products, and if you did know they were chinese then what else did you expect to happen?
