ok - need to replace my lid when i get an sm

are motocross helmets road legal?
any particular makes to avoid?
or do i need a road legal motocross style lid?

Your helmet needs to be:-

European Approved ECE 22.05 to be used on the road, not like plod check anyway.

As with offroad events most accept ACU Gold Approved as part of race/track conditions.

As for the helmet its all down to your choice and how much cash you want to spend.

if you can afford one an aria tour x-2 is a great lid but costs about £300 - but then you've only got one mallet!!

have your worn googles they are terrable, arai are the best i have both the x and moto x also a lazer which is good

I do liokes the look of the helmet but...i pref goggles.

Im gonna take that back goggles are the way to go

I would buy the hayden rep arai lid though

Then buy a Tour X and use it with goggles. You don't even have to remove the visor.

nah it takes a lot more than that

i havn't even got one of those helmets but if I went cartwheeling down the track I'd want my nugget to be summat good! I use an MDR American lid - not tested in anger yet thank fook!!
