Just read an artical in the evening echo about police wanting to stop illegal off roading, which is ok, but the bit that has just pi*8ed me off is the last paragraph...

"If you know of ANY person with an off road motorcycle or EVEN an address where they are stored, Grays police want to hear from you on 01375 391212. Alternatively call ncrimestoppers on 0800 555111"

Does this seem fair, or even legal,

What has i got to do with the old bill if i own an off road bike!!!!!

What do you think, irsm, pietin etc

Firkin outrage mate. Loads of off road bikes round here, they always ride on teh roads to get to the marshes. Which amuses me but really pi$$es some people off. But then they all blocked the track application for Marsh farm (other side of A13 from yer Sis). So where the hell do they expect them to go? Hence my amusement.
The track applictaion was blocked by the local residents, my family were going to object. So I told them, over there it will be controlled hours etc. Might keep themout of the boot sale field. So they saw the light. Sadly loads of peeps didnt and it was stopped.
If I'm not busy tomorrow, I might phone Crimestoppers and report me for having an "offroad bike". See if Dibble comes round. Maybe I could get Dibble to nick the Evening Echo for wasting Police time!

Totally agree mate..but what got me is what the fecking hell has it got to do with the old bill or crime stoppers that people own off road bikes, iam sure that they need to have a good reason to come round and look in you garage garden at your bike/s.

Any way i know a bloke with at least three bikes two of which are off roaders

But of course the ramblers, bobble-hats and bunny huggers have NEVER EVER done anything illegal, anti-social or unruly.

It's the moral high-ground taking hypocrisy that really pisses me off about these people. Generally most people are OK on the trails, provided you're courteous (pull over, kill engine, remove lid if necessary). It's just a couple of inbred toffs and confused bunny huggers that believe in the sugar-coated WaltfuckingDisney notion of the environment. Anybody remember Janet Street-Porter having a rant over the Ridgeway? Just WTF does she actually know about trail riding? Chances are the closest she ever got to the "countryside" is drooling over some impressionist water colour painting or re-reading watership down.

Don't the ramlbers have access to over 90% of off-road trails in the UK already? Ignorant bastids.

Shouldn't they start reporting cyclists - 'cos they MAY ride on pavements. And while we're about Nova's, becuase some boy-racers MAY act like swinging dicks in them?

Rant over.

Ramblers have access to 100% of off-road trails in the UK already.

According to figures in LRO ramblers and nag-pilots have exclusive access to 98% of the UK's off road routes. They have to share the remaining 2% with off-road motor vehicles.

Perhaps as concerned citizens we should all phone them and tell them about these mostly white young men, in customised cars who all seem to congregate at Brook Road Grays
