just been out for a test ride on the ktm duke 2 from fowlers in bristol.iwas well impressed.the salesman said that he would 'do a deal'on the price of £5995.
i was just wondering whats the best price that any of you guys have heard of for one of these.

I paid £5000 with a free Y-Pipe tuning kit (worth £300 odd) thrown in. Must have been lucky. Another guy who went to the same dealer paid £5600 with nothing thrown in.
I think that the RRP is £5600 so £6000 sounds over the top to me. Tell em to knock some money off or go elsewhere.

Personally, I'd get on the phone and call a few places to compare prices. Other KTM dealers can be found on the dealers page of the KTM website.

You could even try some differnt motards if you get chance. There are lots of good ones out there, depending on what you're looking for.

A mate of mine got the new Duke 640 in shinney black for 5300. He also got the exhaust bits at trade and no labour charge for fitting, jetting and the air box mod. I also managed to get him a set of KTM Black and Orange leathers for 250 quid.

I am sure the price has just been dropped too.

Got mine at Colin Colins in Harrow. As I said think I was just lucky but should be cheaper than £5995. Even if you have to come to London it will save you some wonga. But there are loads of KTM dealers out there prob nearer you. Have a look in Supermoto Magazine and there are stacks of ads for KTMs, and if I remember rightly there are listed at less than £5995.
The Duke 2 is a great bike, do yourself a favour and get one. Just don't pay over the odds.

Having just got the official price list from Bracken, they 04 Duke 2 is listed at £5600, so £5900 is already £300 dearer than it should be.

Lucky you, I'd love to be able to buy a brand new one!

try powerhouse motorcycles in Kent. They were the cheapest when I was looking a couple of years ago, then dont waste money on the Y-pipe, just get a different set of silencers (I had SPES) then take to X-Bikes for rejet and dyno - you will then be a very happy bunny.

Alternatively buy a second hand one. You can easily pick a good one up for a lot less than 4 grand
