My brake/rear light and indicators flash together. I have a feeling it's something to do with earthing but what? Any experts in electrickery point me in the right direction?
BTW, if anyone has a problem running a horn that can actually be heard over the engine/doesn't plunge you into darkness on a batteryless system, give electronic sirens designed for alarms a try. They draw f-all current and are pretty noisy, e.g 120db. You can even run one off a PP3 9v battery but I guess a bigger battery would be better.
How does it do it?
when on the brake?
when lights are on?
try all 3
You are correct you have and earth fualt / leak
Check all your conections tto the effected lights i take it its the indicators causing the fualt ie when they are on the brake and tail light flash.
You will most likley6 find one or prbably more of the connections getting a bit green and corroded. clean them up with emery paper / screwdriver etc and coat them with a good dialectric grease before re assembly.
let us know how it goes
Thanks. I'll check it out. Kinda got distracted by other things recently and forgot all about it.
Yes, indicators make the brake light pulsate in time.
