Looked at the Katie Boom in the shed an two hours ago, I last rode it about two weeks earlier. There was so much corrosion I had to give it a serious clean. It was'nt even that salty last time I took it out and it was only slightly damp.

Then the bitch got all mean on me and refused to start!

Bloody motorcycles, bloody council super-rusto-corrodo-grit, bloody lazy me for not washing it earlier!

How many times must I tell you, don't force it....use a larger hammer!

Buy Z-Brew....my God it's full of Stars!

Yep, as regularly as I can, then dowse with WD40 afterwards and re-oil the chain.

Only way otherwise your pride and joy will be a fury/corroded/oxidised mess come summer.

I hate washing mine too but you have to keep on top of them if like me you ride all year round.

i jet wash mine after a muddy run then start it up and ride around the block to dry it off then use about 1/2 a can of WD40 or GT85 on it

Previous threads would suggest you are "too nice" to anything with a hole at the rear.

Gave my XR a bit of a clean for the first time in..... a long time. Can't remember when exactly it was, but is was deffo late summer at best.

Bit of manky corrosion on the fork legs and caliper casting, and a few fasteners are on their way out, but not too bad overall.

Any other damage blends in nicely with the rest of the battle scars.

The word "Puff" is no longer acceptable, modern types use "Streetfighter Magazine Reader".

Every time it rains in fact.
