I'm setting up a custom parts design service - Pig Iron Customs - where I design the custom part to your exact specs and then get it manufactured by one of the select UK machine shops and fabricators I've dealt with.
I'm a highly experienced Design and Systems Engineer, I've worked in the automotive industry and am an ex Triumph Motor cycles Engineer. I use SolidWorks 3D Solid modelling software and the machine shops directly import the models into their CNC / CAM systems for precision manufacturing.
I'm looking for the first few customers so will do the design work for free, all you'll have to pay for is the cost price of the parts manufacture. All I ask is that I can photograph the parts and use them in my portfolio and any future marketing and websites when I get more established.
The ultimate goal is to have a full custom bike shop but everyone has to start some where! So please contact me with your ideas, I live in Northern Ireland but can easily work via telephone and email. If you need a custom version of an existing part you can post it to me for measurement and modelling.
