Subscription promises????

Anyone else out there, found it really difficult to subscribe to T.W.O. magazine? I rang up and gave my credit card details and received nothing, then I tried to subscribe via Visordown taking the option of full price but getting an Oxford tank bag thrown in. I did this in July and received nothing again. Having been in touch with Magicalia they finally took my direct debit in August. Didin't get a magazine though until the November edition and I am still waiting for my tank bag, which was supposed to have been despatched last month after 2 E Mails asking where it is!

To say I am pissed off with the subscription service offered and the false promises is an understatement!

Yeah, me too.

What are we supposed to do? Maybe they don't want to sell anymore magazines.

I can't find a place that sells it where I live either.

Its such a good Mag too, but Magicalia need their arses kicking! All the good work in the editorial is wasted if the publishing team don't get the Mag out there!

I think the grown ups are working on it. There have been a few changes and the whole subscriptions issue is going to be sorted. Stick with it, I have to.

Unbelievable! I have just received an E Mail, after nagging Magicalia, that the tank bag is no longer available. This is after a previous E Mail stating it was on its way! What a bunch of liars!!!!!

TWO Mag and Magicalia..........don't make promises you can't or have no intention of keeping! I will never view your subscrition offers with anything other than a feeling that it is a crock of sh*t just to get people to sign up.

I had no confidence in the procedure when taking my subsciption, but it's arrived and a great read it is too.

I have had serious problems and am still trying to get my money back for Subscriber goods never received.

I paid £25 for Motocourse annual subscriber offer in january 2008 which has never arrived.  I have made numerous calls and letters and several promises later from them - still nothing.  Have written to John Cantlie and the Magicialia MD - still no money back - and its November now.

I strongly recommend avoiding subscribing and the subscribing offers.  Appalling service and they clearly don't give a  ....   as long as they get the money.

Needless to say have cancelled my subscription.   I am on the verge of taking legal action to get the money back.

Deeply upset ex-reader.

I've just sent through an email asking where my tank back is - and if not available I want an equal value replacement or my subscription reduced by that value

Otherwise it is fraudulent advertising to entice customers with a special offer and then fail to deliver this offer in any form. Actually a pretty hot topic at the moment if you search false advertising on bbc!

They had best sort it out - or an email will be heading to watchdog

Yep I tried to subscibe with them too - with one of the deals they had, gave them my details over the phone, waited - Nothing ! Phoned and asked they said they would sort it - Nothing! Then sent a email through VD, and yep you guessed it - Nothing ! Talk about crap! So do I want to subscribe now Nooooooooooooooooooo

The cheeky buggers just took £8.90 out of my bank on 9/8/10.  Called Magicalia who denied anything to do with subscription ("we just put the magazine together") and gave me the number for Tower - 01858438754

Called Tower, they answered as "Magicalia" and said they no longer have anything to do with VD but could refund the DD.  "Future Publishing" have taken on VD now, 08448482852.  I spose I'll try them when the DD doesn't re-appear...

The receptionist girl at the first number said that she'd been told to inform callers that they'll be given a subscription to Fast Bikes instead.

It's all a bit poor isn't it?  A letter might have been nice.  Did anyone notice the invitation to subscribe on p5 of the final issue?

DonnyBra has it correct: money down the friggin' toilet! I paid in full (that's a whopping $120.49 USD for the overseas subscription!) online on July 2, 2010 for a year's subscription, and discovered a couple of days later that the mag was ceasing publication. I have a handful of Magicalia emails promising to refund my money in full, but as of today not a penny has been refunded. I didn't receive a single issue of VD or any other mag (not that I want a substitute). So it appears I've made an involuntary donation to VD and/or Magicalia.  Maybe they'll have a pint, or fifty, on me.
