A mate is about to buy a Yamaha TTR600 and, on brief ride around the car park, it seemed like a lot of fun. Clearly this bike is leaning a bit more towards off-road use than most road-legal trailies of that size (e.g F650GS, etc), but what I want to know is how it compares to Yamaha's other offering in this sector, the XT660R? I mean in terms of on-road ability, off-road performance, comfort, practicality, etc etc?
