Over the next few days I will be showing the full engine nut and bolt/bearing rebuild on my Yamaha WR450.

Wiseco 478cc piston, selected new gears in the gearbox, and cam timing procedure.

This will include a selection of pictures as to why it needed to be done.

Then to follow will be the rest of the build which includes RTT steering stabilizer, powder coated frame and pimped wheels.

Should be good when its finished........before the end of March...for the VD run in Wales

And this is what happens to a selector fork when it has gears pushing against it that won`t engage.

You`re just jealous cos the closest you get to a `spanner` is someone who resides in Nantwich...

Why? Is he putting a KTM 6 speed box in it?

I loved my WR, but them Yammy 'boxes....... just poo. Thought about getting the dogs undercut a bit to help them engage more positively & last a bit longer, but then had a moment of clarity and just got rid of it.

Chris, your bikes in your house! Jeeze my wife would kill me even if I brought a spanner through the door (hence why none of you lot can visit me..). You lucky bugger.

Will the bike be ready for 4 weeks time then? When are you running it in?

Anyone Fancy a Pre-South-Wales North Wales run?
