Tyre warmers on road tyres?

I was thinking about getting some tyre warmers so I don't have to spend the first two or three laps getting my tyres up to temp. What are the general pros and cons of using tire warmers on road tires? I am thinking that it would actually help in reducing the heat cycles thoughout the day and keep a more constant warm pressure? Any thoughts? Thanks. <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Using tyre warmers is always a good thing and it helps keep your tyres at a constant temp when you are not on track, however dont repeat dont ever think that by putting tyre warmers on you can go off like a cat kicked up the ass with a size ten boot ! as soon as you get on track, its not just your tyres you are warming up on opening laps, its ya brakes, the engine, basically the whole bike and YOU ! you need to settle in and get your head right before giving it the berries, after all on a track day you are not racing so it dont matter where you start of end up at the end of the session, and have done countless track days and raced there is nothing more annoying than a bafoon who throws it down the track in the first couple of laps, often on track days this brings out a red flag and we all sit around loosing track time. Also remember to adjust your tyre pressure when ya tyres are cold, if in doubt ask the tyre guys at the track, or it will be all over the shop when it gets hot.
