can I ask you if advertising is not allowed without payment, when someone puts on here say "Donnington 12/11 with No Limits" How do you know they don`t work for that company and are advertising free.

We don't with 100% certainty.
All we can do is keep an eye on who is posting what.
We know a lot of the regular posters, so if it's one of them we know they don't work for a TDO.
If it is a newbie we keep an eye on them and if they seem to mostly/only post about trackdays from a certain TDO then its blatantly obvious and they will have their posts removed.
Others may be less obvious and slip through the net, but I doubt many do.

Lets face it tho, a TDO isn't gonna lure many punters by posting an anonymous "Anyone gonna be at Donnington 12/11 with No Limits?" type posts. The idea is you go with your mates and kick their arses isn't it?

Kick your mates arses would that not be racing on a track day, It seemed to me that Fe got a real slating on here [some of it deserved] but NL got loads of praise and it turns out that at least one of the people slating Fe instructs for NL, could be coincidence

I'm a bit biased towards No Limits, that bird comes looking for you and gives you sweets.

She's getting a bit wise to me now, as I always head her off further up for a second helping.

If you are negligent, you are negligent. Indemnity forms mean very little.

Why have them then, If 1 punter has another 1 off then that can`t be negligence by the tdo

So people don't try and sue you when you aren't negligent.
i.e. someone went too fast and ran out of track that is their fault, not the TDOs.

It can if the reason they punted them off is proven to be something that was not pointed out to them at the briefing and should have been like what a coloured flag is for etc.

But according to most people on here the briefings are too long and only really needed for novices and they are basically just used as a tool to selltyres and pics, wonder if these are the same people I have to tell to shut up when the briefing is on and to get away from the door so they can hear

Of course they are.

That has no bearing or indeed relevance to my answer tho, so other than to have another bitch about trackday users it was a tad extraneous.

It has a massive bearing. Tdo`s are constantly being sued, Phil from tracktime told me it was his reason for packing up and I was told it was why spead freaks packed up. It was not another dig at track day users it was to make the point that briefings are a legal requirement although I do think they could be simplified

No, it has NO bearing on what I said. I was discussing the relevance of disclaimers.

Nothing to do with the briefings except that they need to contain certain subject matters to stop the TDO being negligent in their organisation of the day.
Whether people like or dislike the briefings had no bearing on whether the disclaimer can stop the TDO getting sued.

A point which you comprehensively failed to make until now. Try saying what you actually think rather than just blurting out shit slagging off the trackdayers.

FWIW I agree, some people have a shit attitude towards attending/listening to the briefings. Bitching about it isn't gonna change anything tho.

Ok well you like to throw the odd insult about, If you had read the earlier thread there were a few on here bitching about instructors, I`m not slagging off trackdayers just the few on here that have a problem with me cos I wear an orange vest, Ive made a lot of friends over the years as an instructor and a track day fanatic, Oh and one more thing I actually asked Taffman about the legality of indemnity forms but i suppose this being a forum I should have sent him a pm, the reason i asked was cos we sign the same form and several instructors have gone down this year and no one has rushed up to pay them compensation. I dare say I`ve just blurted out a load more shit that you`ll disagree with. The thing is with a discussion is that quite often one subject leads on to another, If you think I`m wandering away and you`ve already answered my original question THEN DON`T FUCKING ANSWER

Read your posts fella. There is no distinction.
"according to most people on here"
You are doing the exact same you accuse them of, tarring all with the same brush.
What is good for the goose.....

No. Why would you think that?

Yes, and he replied with his opinion.
I replied with mine to clarify the situation further.
What is the problem?

What have I disagreed with?
Diddums, mummy's ickle boy does think everyone is ganging up on him doesn't he?

The two are generally linked more than you manage tho.
