reversing tyres

using up the left side

read in PB mag. of a special owner reversing his tyres so you can use that unused left side! I cant see a problem on slicks and racetecs , anbody tried it? ,

know lots of people who have done it but many tyres are also now directional in that the join is only designed for strength in correct direction of use.... personally I wouldn't be tempted to do this...

I used to do it for Trackdays and had no problems, but like he said, there is a risk of delamination due to way the tread is layered.

There's a bend out there with your name on it. You've tamed it. You own it. And when you get there, you have to follow some old cunt in a Micra at 25mph. Fuck it, you'll just have to crack open the throttle and stuff him up the inside. As you clip the apex, stick your knee out and lay a huge darkie on the exit with the front wheel in the air. Oh yes. :burnout:
