Since when did this start anyway? or is it just with FE.
Not heard anything like this from Tracksense and there at Jerez in April.
Usually health card is enough and its upto the individuals if they want to take out extra cover.
Spanish trackdayers join the "Federation" and this automatically gives them accident insurance and also discount on trackday bookings. It's quite a big discount too, Almeria for example with federation membership is typically 100Euros per day and without it 190Euros. Big differance. Cost about £150 per year to join tho.

Its quite interesting if you read all of it and if you look at the date it was published its 2003 so its not a new thing.

Is this for public liability or for personal accident insurance?

Its repatriation insurance if you need to be shipped back to the UK.

Once they find out youve been on a racetrack, your normal travel insurance wont pay for you to get you home.

The same kind of thing you get for going off to do extreme sports basically.

Get covered before you go. I had a hospital stay in Croix 2005, although I got taken home by my mates, the hospital still sent me a nice bill for the drugs and nappies..... (that was with an E111).
