Hi,

I was wondering whether any motorcycle insurance firms  offer an unlimited (amount of days) green card in Europe?

The bike that needs to be insured is a Hyosung GV650 so about £4000 worth of cover should the trick?

Failing that do you know what premium insurance firms would charge for exceeding the 90 day limit?

Thanks in advance for any help...

Yu won't get any companies offering unlimited green card as standard, as this would enable you to effectively "import" a bike into another country, but have it insured at UK rates, or as is more likely find a way to circumvent some countries bhp restrictions.

Most of the larger players will allow you to extend your green card to 120 days in the insurance year for an AP of c£10.

I’m not allowed to have any of these as my avatar, so here they are on my sig instead. However, I now can't add any new ones

Did you ever hear anyone say “That picture had better be banned, because I might look at it and it might be very damaging to me”

I got 365 days "European cover" as standard on my TPFT insurance for the ZX9. I guess thats the same as the old green card cover but for a TPFT policy. When I lived in Spain for two years it was a bitch getting cover on my then ZX6 even at my age... rip-off insurance out there.

Does that permit 365 days in one trip outside the UK.  Most policies I'm aware of have some limitation for the length of a single trip.

EBike do a 365 green card with it's UK insurance though you do not need a green card anymore as all policies in the UK conform to EU standards however you are right most companies only allow 30 days at a time max.

So EBIKE are the ones for the 365 days continious but you have to have a permentant UK address   it can all be done on line...
