East Europe comprises quite a large area with a considerable number of countries.

Where are you setting off from?

How are you planning to get 'across the water'??

Where are you planning to go to???

How much time do you have at your disposal????

i haven't done east europe but we did do Russia - St Petersburg via Sweden and Finland. we looked and north east europe to get here but as we were on a tight timescale and budget, we had concerns about how many suitable trunk routes there are. By going through scandinavia we had 2 overnight ferries which saved on accomadation and also mean we were covering ground even when sleeping. I would recomend this journey to anyone as long as you prepared well fo getting into Russia. Stunning scenery as well as cities like Stockholm, Helsinki and obviously St Petersburg.

If you do go the east european route, the mountain pass in Romania is meant to be stunning, can't remember what it's called off hand but it's on my list of roads to ride.

Check the motorbikefriendly website - below.

Depending on whcih bit how long and where you want to ride in east europe there will be some places you can stay on there.

The mountain pass referred to in the post above is only open certain times of the year - so check before you go.

Romania is a great place to ride anyway - stay away from Bucharest tho.

PM me if you're going to go that way.
