Talkback: Yamaha YZF750R (1993 - 1996)

Just bought one her in the US a 94 model. Not the power of my newer bikes but a real fun ride do to it's handling.

Had one for a year now and still enjoying it. Had to switch the 6 pot calipers for some blue spots as soon as I bought it, so now have functional braking without the bonus of warped discs.
EXUP gives very nice linear power delivery all the way up to 8K, then there's a satisfying burst of crazy all the way to the 13K redline.
Overall, recommended - comfortable for long distance (did 740 miles on the National Rally last year without any cramps), but still nicely responsive in corners.
Remember to put a spot of weld on the front sprocket nut though; major design flaw allows the nut to come off even with the retainer in place, Yam thought 2.5 threads was enough to hold the nut on - believe me, it isn't. TDMs, Thundercats and a couple of others were recalled for the same problem, but sadly Yam issued a 'f*ck you' to YZF owners so you're on your own...
