Have seen this question posted allot , I assume the std size tyre is 180/55 , this is what the bike was designed for going up a tyre size for asthetic reasons will screw up the handling , i.e make it slower to turn , stick with std size tyre for best results .
I would really like to make the Laser Exhaust a bit louder on my 04' Boxer Cup Replika...Not a lot, but just some more growl.
I noticed that the cans are held together with a few pop rivets and there appears to be a baffle inside with a wrapping/packing on it.
Can I disaaemble the cans and remove the packing without causing a fiff in the BMW Boxer Cup Uninverse?
Fitting a 190 rear on this makes no sense. It doesn't need it. I had an 1100S for many years and used to do a lot of trackdays on it. The limiting factor of the 1100S is that the cylinder heads touch down and the 1100 flat twin doesn't produce enough power to warrant a bigger contact patch out of the corner. If it's purely for aesthetic reasons then yes, I think you could do it. But as previously said. You will ruin the handling. The 1100S doesn't have much power coming out of the bend but what it does let you do is stay on the brakes really really late and still turn in sharply. Why spoil the best bit?
