Triumph Bonneville

I just rode an 08 Bonneville Black 2,000 miles in 4 days around FL and up the East Coast. I was fine at a constant 75-85 mph even with tank bag and panniers. Tank only good for approx 125 miles so too many stops for real touring but fine for 450 miles daily. Compared vs Sportster and other more expensive HDs, Victory, Honda, etc this is the most bike/classic/reliable value option.

I bought an 07 790cc Bonnie last year after having owned a big Harley, a Hayabusa, a couple of 1200 Bandits and a BMW 1150GS and i have to say in the last 12 months or so i've had more fun on the Triumph than I ever had on any of those other bikes. OK it isn't as fast as any of my previous bikes but so what? I just wheel it out my garage, turn on the fuel and ignition and away I go and having recently fitted a pair of Gold star patern pipes it sound like a Triumph should. It turns heads and most times I get a grin or thumbs up from people and those who don't appreciate the sound of them pipes .....well......... they were never a biker so they don't count. lol
