Great real world bike.

Had the 1100, sold it and missed it so much; have now bought the 1200 8V.

Handles better than the looks give it any right to and is well finished and different enough to keep a serial bike buyer like me happy....

Yes there is a significant performance difference between 1100 and 8V  - But both are great bikes and are far removed from Guzzi's older offerings.

Fuel range could be better but IMO honestly little else to criticise.

Styling?? Well that's your call...

The images are of the 1100 4v bike?? and not the 1200 8V...

You reviewed the 1100 in 2006; as the 8V wasn't out then.

Sorry to be an anorak but when you own the bike it matters!

Got an 1100 myself.

Had it three years now an no plans to change.

Had a go on the 1200 8v version and apart from a bit more rush after 5000rpm, couldn't really tell any difference.

I understand the later model is a bit thirsty too.

Maybe not an issue for many, but if you do a lot of miles it's something you have to consider with the price of fuel going ever upward.

I couldn't live with an old school air cooled twin that drinks more fuel than my 2.0 litre 170bhp car.

I own a 2008 Griso.  Ride a Goose for 10 minutes and you will never own one.  Ride one for an hour and you'll never not own one.
