My Little Ducati Cafe Racer

Retro Revolution?

Ok, I've still got the Superduke, but my biking world had been turned upside down in the last year or so by the cafe racer, scrambler, street-tracker custom scene, and suddenly I'm looking at bikes with skinny tyres and spindly forks...

One marvellous exeption to this rekindling of the spirit of the seventies is the recently ridiculed and now discontinued Ducati Sport Classic. Initially panned as an uncomfortable showbike by journos, recent models (with raised clip-ons) have suddenly become highly desireable - and being featured in TRON didn't do the model and harm either.

This example is mine. It's mid-modification, as although I've sorted the Termis, race ECU, reworked & resprung suspension, lighting, clocks, and Imola style single-seat unit - and moved a Li Ion battery to under the seat - it's still due a few more tweaks to the paint and footrest/zorst hangers...
