i dont understand this, Donnington is about to be transformed from a great circuit into what looks like a fantastic circuit, and they move it to Silverstone weird.
however i remember when the superbikes used to race on the full silverstone circuit, and that allways made for great racing, only spoiled when they switched it to the inside track
should still be good but why not stay at donny?
"Should make for great MotoGP racing." Really? Why?
Doningtons best bits have always been highly regarded by both riders and spectators. By eliminating the silly Foggy Esses and adding the new infield loop they're finally making it the great circuit it always had the potential to be.
It isn't about us spectators though (reference the crowds at Qatar) it's just about money and Dorna. The way Carmelo Ezpeleta and the MSMA have been running things they may have killed the whole thing by 2010.
why move when donny is improving. seems daft decision to me. Moto gp seems to be losing the plot and WSBK going from strength to strength.

aye def. i wasn't getting into the politics of it i was just thinking from a fans point of view. been going to donny for years and as soon as they do it up moto gp fucks off. it couldn't afford the improvments without F1 but it doesn't have to be F1 or moto gp.
mind you by 2010 will moto gp be worth watching?
I don't doubt that it will make for good fast racing. But not for good viewing. Not trackside anyway.
Donington would provide both sadly. All it needed was an improvement in spectator facilities, which it will probably get. How sad.
Never mind, MotoGP is all but dead anyway.
in fairness i think that moto gp is going down the pan with the rider aids.i think that the TV rights going to the BBC next year are going to hammer another nail into the coffin. i personally love watching the 125/250 races as well.moto gp will also lose a few fans when rossi retires.
but the wsbk's just goes from strength to strength.
can anybody answer my earlier question ? will they use the silly chicane before the start/finish line ?
Two questions, completely off topic - sorry in advance!
Lewis - will we be seeing you at some of our oop north ride outs when the weather's a bit nicer? There's a fair few of us from Cheshire on here!
Tickets for Donny this year - when are they going to be on sale???
DORNA seem determined to follow the example of F1 at every oppportunity, i;e making money as opposed to running a sport.

No, they're going to use the full Luffield corner. The stands have to be moved back a bit and a larger run-off created.
Worse place to watch, granted. Better facilities all round though - Silverstone is a great circuit.
