On a serious note though, how would you react to a similar thread on TRC.

My understanding is that it would be immediately deleted by the fascist moderators.

I doubt TRC would delete a thread of this nature,

In the bike section they have a thread recommending other biking forums! and I've posted severall links to KTMForum and Superduke.net and never had one deleted!

Your understanding is flawed, only the idiots would have a problem with it.

It won't be gone for long - there was a notification advising that there was a big upgrade due, so would be down overnight soon, but also that some short term downtime was needed to prepare for it.

Stick around here for a while, whilst it's down, we're not as bad as the urban myths would have you believe.
