Another stupid sayings thread. Why have people started answering "yeah, no", or "No, yeah" to single questions? Is it becoming a shorthand answer to closed questions or are they too lazy to decide which answer applies before opening their mouths?

It's not a play on anything but it seems to be a TV thing. Usually in celeb interviews....

"You seemed to enjoy making that movie, is that the case?"

"No...yeah we had a lot of fun..."

It's a nasty habit and needs stamping out.
