If you saw a policeman/woman being attacked and seriously injured by someone, would you help them out?

If you don't like what I am wearing... Feel free to undress me!

Surely u'd help anyone out, regardless of occupation? The police are humans too.

If I thought I could help I would. It wouldn't make any difference if it was plod or not.

Problem is, some bloke was killed trying to help someone out who was being given a kicking by 4 blokes the other week. So you have to weigh up what the best thing to do is.

My brothers a traffic plod

He used to tell me about the bikes who used to tear past him when he used to have the old 4x4 sierra's

"i aint going to chase them in this pile o shite "  and he'dlaugh about it.

I'd like to think if he was trying to nick a thief or 2 and they turned on him that one of us would even things up abit.

His first to admit that there are good and bad plod but i can assure you there's more good than bad.

Yes I would help a coppa out if he/she was in bother, lets face it, there may be a reward in the offing.

THing is I dont think it matters who it was - for me nature takes over and I would take pleasure in practicising my Taekwondo sparring with the lovely fellow(s) to protect someone in trouble.  This does remind me of a point though that pisses me off.

I have been in a situation where I caught two young lads kicking my drainpipe in by alleyway that runs down my house.  Ran out, caught them there, then one of them said - you cant touch us, if you do you will get nicked you c@nt.  Then promptly legged it.  I stood there fore a sec thinking - hes right - what a bollocks state we live in!  As a kid I would have got a clip around the ear, boot up arse and sent on my way.   Luckily now my kids are all learning Taekwondo, so if it happens again I will set them on them

Yep, sure would. You wouldn't believe how many cops are bikers.  And they'd all help you if you were getting a pasting, that's for sure.

IMHO - Giving them a slap might be out of the question but a kick up the arse is exactly the right thing to do. Which kid is going to complain about getting a kick up the arse and not be red faced in front of their mates.

14/10/2008 at 13:52

Yes of course

my concern is if police questioned me, and it came out that I had martial arts training it would be me in trouble regardless.  Never mind, my daughters roundhouse is fairly brutal and would do more than leave him a little red faced......       Give it about 18 months and we will have 4 black belts in the house.....go on kids, go out and play with the moron

Would i help out,..... depends on a whole lot o things.

It would be east to go charging in helping out and then get stabbed for my troubles leaving a wife and 2 young children without a father. The police have got body armour on, joe public ain't. Think i would probably phone it in, shout and get the mobile phone out and video it for evidence (and youtube) And as the PCSO (or whatever the fuck those tossers are called) are told if your not trained dont do it. If you can handle yourself then fine, but if you are concerned about your own safety stay back. If i was working id help out, a whack over the nut with an oxygen bottle aint much fun
