Been looking at both the Knox race and Alpinestars Race Tech, but can't make my mind up.

Which would you reccomend (Or suggest an alternative) and why

It would be worn with 2 piece leathers

Will your leathers take a back protector?

They're no as good, but they're much easier, more comfy and you wear it every time....

fair play hunter

However, I thought they were about actually using one, not which one you would suggest.

I know I want one, just don't know which one is best

I bought one of these new forcefield inserts which means I can easily transfer the back protector between leather jacket and textile.

For £30, I am well chuffed with it.

Both are pretty good back protectors, based on comments made by wearers here and in SS.

Which one is the most comfortable while being worn with your leathers?

The advantage of a seperate back protector, from what I've read over in SS, is that it MIGHT help to prevent damage to your spine caused by twisting, a back pad in your jacket wont add to the support you've already got from zipped together leathers.

Alpine stars bionic. Mostly the others offer impact protection, the bionic offers flex protection too which is how most broken backs happen

I've got a knox stowaway, which is a nice compromise between protection, portability and comfort.

I have the Forcefield T Pro L2, its excellent and can be worn all day without even knowing it's there. No complaints at all.......... except that i'm selling it due to now buying all the Forcefield back inserts and elbow/shoulder armour for my daily commute jackets. Just too much of a pain to keep putting it on every morning and evening, although i know that it offers better protection than the actual inserts.
