Why did you get rid of them?
01/03/2002 at 11:57
longest - gsxr750 slabside.1992 - 1996.why? cos i liked it.
shortest - excluding 'earners',rgv250, 3 months.great toy,best handling bike i've had.but i didn't fit on it,and if you weren't in the mood to play,walking was preferable.

i like that, turn it up.

"Its all gone quiet," said Roobarb.
"Too quiet," said Custard
"Quick, lets eat it before it gets cold"

Walking in town the other day and I spotted a piece of walking excrement. I pointed it out to the wife. She could not see it. I pointed again but to no avail. I took her right up to it and nearly stepped on it ... oh that she said. No dear, thats a copper.

Longest GSXR1100WP - 5 years and 158,000 miles from new and CBR1000 4 years and 165,000 miles.

Shortest - Honda CB900 FA owned it for 4 days until I saw a 900F2B so I changed straight away. Lost £300 on the FA but when the F2B was written off 4 years later I got £1400 the same as I paid for it.

Longest - MTX200, over two years then got stolen

Shortest - Hornet 600, only bike I've bought new, less than a year, poorly built - it must have been a Friday afternoon job or perhaps Honda's aren't all they're cracked up to be??

Shortest: BMW R1150R - bought my R1100S back. The R was too uncomfortable - I'd done 3600 miles in 3 weeks on it though.

Longest? Probably my R1100R - 18 months (30,000 miles).

Shortest:

About 3 weeks... BSA B33 chopper...Nice engine....Got offered a Weslake Triton, so it had to go

Longest:

Something over eleven years Moto Guzzi 750-S3. Still miss it from time to time. I had a LMII engine in it tuned to the nines & it was frustrating to ride over here. It still had the heavy flywheel which hampered its throttle response. Really a fast A road bike.

Longest - Moto Guzzi Le Mans Mk1 had that 6 years, reason for sale got bored with it, proved to be to realiable

TDM was definitely the longest, almost 6 years. Shortest was probably a couple of days as I used to buy and sell if I could make a dollar out of it.
01/03/2002 at 18:37
Shortest : CB125TDC superdream, bought this and sold it within 6 days at a tidy profit

Longest: I dont think ive owned a big bike for over a year, so it has to be my first bike, a Suzuki TX50X, had this for a whole year!! other than that (CB350=10months, RF600=10months, ZX7=7months and still own it!! )
