Welcome to the new Visordown forum

Hello, welcome to the new Visordown and more specifically, the new forum!

A big thanks to the Visordown readers who helped me and the development team with the beta testing of this site. There are bound to be teething errors so please bear with me on those.

We've dealt with most of the suggestions you made as we went along, and others - like hover-over previews of forum threads - are on our to-do list.

As well as general feedback and bug-spots, it would be great if you could let me know on this thread which single change you would like to see most, so I can get an idea of priority.

There are loads of changes - too many to list here - so you can check out a post I've made here introducing the new site. Those changes to the site include:

• A bike review system that brings together your bike ratings, galleries, relevant forum threads and editorial bike tests. Don't be shy about using it.
• Hundreds of new articles, and hundreds more to come
• Changes to the forum including better private messaging, easier image uploading and, we hope, easier usage

We'll try to log all of your feedback, and if you're a fan of lists you can see all the comments made so far in beta testing, and our feedback.

There's an FAQ here, just incase you find some aspects of the new site a bit confusing at first.

I really hope you like the new site and I look forward to seeing your feedback.

hi ben,

i do appreciate this has taken alot fo work and it looks brilliant on my pc (19" screen)

but on my laptop there just isnt enought space for the threads width wise ans it looks horrible!

not sure how many users use laptops but im sure alot that use a low res or a laptop shall be very dissapointed!

The three things I missed right away were:

• Advanced search. I normally search for my username when I return to the site to see if anybody has responded to any of my posts and if they need replies.*
• Hover over previews - is the thread worth a click? (Yes, I know it's on your "to do" list but you asked for the single** change we want so you can prioritise)
• Go to first new post icon on threads with new posts

*BTW, search gives me the following error:

**Silly boy, expecting us to restrict ourselves to one point each. You created this monster called Visordown, you should know better.
