Thinking of selling my bike

Yellow 900SSie, for those that don't know.

Not putting a formal ad up yet, cos i won't want to sell it until I get a replacement, but trying to gauge if there's any interest on VD.

I've spent a lot of money on that bike, and now it looks like someone else is going to reap the benefit.

New bits include:
Sprockets and Afam -8 chain (the best)
Clutch hub - latest 999 stylee
Ducati ally clutch pack
STM ergal basket
Battery
All 3 FI sensors
Cam belts in December, when I bought it.
Other shit too.

I'm running it half-faired at the moment, but have a set of fully faired panels too. I'll probably throw them in for a small extra consideration.

I've had some fuelling issues, but that's all sorted now; it fuels perfectly. I've just got back from a trip to Wembley to the Challenge Cup Final, and on the belt up the M4 and round the North Circular, it averaged 55 mpg.

It has a couple of flaws: the gearchange is a bit clunky in and out of 1st and 2nd, but the box itself is sound, and clutchless changes are easy and smooth in the higher gears in the normal Ducati way. It has a slight oil leak from the alternator cover. Although the brakes work fine, it could do with a set of new front discs.

In recognition of this, and in the interests of a quick sale, it will be CHEAP. If I don't sell it here or on the DSC, it will probably go on ebay.

I'm not committing to a figure right now, but well under £2k.

So, come on, come on!

Katana?
AlexD?
Fallen Angel?

Anyone?

Mileage is around 17k, BTW. It was about 7k when I bought it.

Reason for sale: I'm hankering after another 4-valver.

i hope your sale goes well but i'm not sure about the way you're selling it.
i'm also not sure if you want to let it go...do you?

Gimme a shout with a price. Need to clear a few bikes, have a vfr 400 that should be a hoot.

I'm just being straight up about it. I've been around here for quite a while; I'm not spinning any line here; the last thing I want to do is mislead any VD'ers. It's a decent bike, and a good buy for somebody.

Katana: Will PM you when I get a bit nearer getting a replacement.

When you say 4-valver, do you mean Ducati ?

Was this the one at the Devon camp/bbq couple of months ago ?

I was the drenched miserable fecker who buggered off early on the red Fazer BTW.
