That's more turns than the 'ring (and in less distance), surely?

I guess bends in the States are like buses - you go thousands of miles waiting for one then......

If I had all the money I'd spent on drink........I'd spend it on drink.

Deals Gap? Heard plenty about it on other forums. Which incidentally is one of the benefits of VD, it's not overwhelmed with Yanks. But I would like to give it a go one day.

Yes. Tail of the Dragon and Deals Gap are the same.

Ragman, if you google video (or whatever video host you like) Deals Gap there will be hundreds of videos.

135 kicks it's ass!

it's a fun road, but is so overcrowded with Harley's that it really isn';t that much fun anymore.

But check out the ultra smooth roads surface - it is fun....

Leaf lookers and HD's - ruins a perfectly good road.

That would certainly keep your concentration going!

My wifes the exact opposite, one curve in 5 feet 4 inches!

I'd really like ot take some VD'ers on a ride throughout USA. The "no curves in the US" myth would disappear quickly.

Our country side is no different than yours with respect to most roads and the amount of curves. At least in the eastern 1/3 of the US. A lot of areas are much more curvy than, say Wales.

But if you compare Wales to Florida, portions of the midwest and desert southwest, then Wales comes out on top.

Gotta remember though; England is about the size of the state of Oregon..which is a medium sized state. There are 49 more states to ride in. Imagine England X 49. Thats' what we have to ride in. Theres' a lot of flat space, but way more curves than any of us will ever have the time to ride.
