My bro has asked me to be his best man next April for his wedding :burp:
So, plenty of time to organise stuff. I was thinking of doing an off-road day, I think KTM used to do them? Anyone got any experience / recommendations of that type of thing? And how much does it cost???

any other ideas? (Oi - keep it clean )
my bruv is rather like me - likes going fast on two wheels & four, and that's it really :smoke:

edit: sorry should read stag-day ideas (for the daytime, natch )

Depends on your budget really.

You can do the all singing all dancing stuff for £300-500 but that limits some of the mates from going, usually, or you can do a normal good day for about £100 now.

bear in mind that if it's a largeish group i.e. over 12 people then there will be lots of standing round waiting.

My recommendation from experience of doing my brother's a couple of weeks ago, is arrange to meet at someone's gaff in the morning, chill out, have a laugh, keep off the bevvies for now, just wind-ups and pass the time.
Then go off on an activity that everyone fancies, like shooting, quad biking, off-roading, karting etc (start asking people now what they like, don't leave it too long). Aim to do it in the afternoon.
Then go for a meal in a decent place that meets all/most peoples approval e.g. chinese, indian, mexican etc. Aim to start the meal around 7 or 8 so you can spend a good couple of hours having a good time with the meal, nice and relaxed.
Then those who want to go on drinking or clubbing can do so.

That's not to suggest an itenerary (sp) but is roughly how we did it, and a good guideline for a stag day/night that doesn't involve the tired old cliche of shit t-shirts, drinking til you're ill and potentially ending friendships.

The Dam.

I'm off to amsterdam for a stag doo in a couple of months. We have a boat ride around the canal's booked then off for a few beers in the town.

And there's always the added bonus of the coffeeshops too...

Heriwulli and I had this great idea for a stag day, which I hope we'll do when he finally gets down on one knee.

Heriwulli is a big fan of the Friday Ad, which is a free advertising mag out once a week in these here parts.

Meet up on Friday night, everyone has a budget of £100, and has to reconviene on Saturday lunch time at a designated location with a road going vehicle of any description, bought that morning from the Friday Ad.

There then follows a series of challenges etc. such as race round the block, off road challenge, and of course - selling them again before dinner.

Take him to blackpool, you could all wear kilts or atleast where the same outfit, get totally hammered, smash in the skulls of a few mickey mousers and generally have a good time.

Pretty sure its not been done before either.

I love you.

Stag night ideas have evolved into much elaborate parties with loads of glitz and glam. Today, one has so many party options to look for, before planning for a Stag Party. Starting from, daytime activities to night party ideas, there’s so much to choose from naughty to nice party ideas.
