Just seen one in the flesh for the first time, tempted looks good in blue... but is it worth the extra money over a new Fazer?

Your thoughts boys and girls please.....

I had a close look at one.
sadly the pillion is not good enough imho too small and thin and slopes to much towards the rider.it was too small for me too.Sadly as i think its lovely looking.

I'm leaving on the five train
Don't ask me when I'm coming back again
I reckon it's only a matter of time
Before the law kick in the door
Mother I'm running out of change,
but I had to phone to let you know

They'll never take me alive....

but, but blue bikes are pants!

Thats one of the irrefutable VD laws

had a look at one in Fowlers at the weekend...that was blue too! Good step forward for triumph but not my cup of tea I prefer my bikes naked...with a few exceptions obviously.

wish I was a weeble

even if it was 10k over the pirice of a fazer it would be worth it.

Fazers are pants and all of them shoudl be shot the minute they leave the production line to stop the embarrassment the owners will face everytime they go out.

UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall. TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.

I don't know about the older model Fazer, but i had the new version for a couple of months. Comfy bike that you could easily tour and commute on, but the brakes are shit and the engine needs to be kept at at least 7000rpm to get any power from it. Which pretty much means you'll be breaking the speed limit, where as if you keep the bike below theres no power and it's dull as fuck, it's all or nothing with that engine.
I've never ridden the ST so couldn't compare, but knowing what i know now i'd give the ST a go.

I've been thinking of getting one for a while, and recent MCN review has confirmed that ...

However, might go for silver rather than blue.

Don't let my interest put you off though

Your swaping a Ducati 748 for a Triumph ST?

Or getting a second bike?

Its a 749.

And I am considering swapping. I won't be the first apparently.

I am re-assessing what kind of riding I really do and/or want to do. I am sure the duke would be better handling for track days etc, but am struggling to think in what other ways it would really beat the ST.

I would like to do more longer distance rides, for example.

But it's not a final decision yet.

Merry Christmas

You must be a riding god then.....The thing is I don't want the Sprint, or for that matter, the fazer to inspire me, MV's are for that, touring and comfort are the watch words....

wasnt actually comparing the fazer to a tard mate. I was comparing it to my long departed hornet

why bother comparing; only one winner. Fazer 1000 = true all rounder; nuff said BTW, Hornet, nice bike but even more poorly suspended than the Fazer & no wind protection.
