you can hear the turbo spooling up.. plus the dump valve

the way he shreds the rear tyre at 150mph is also a dead giveaway

Is this the Vid where the back wheel is spinning up giving the impression of doing some ridiculous speed when in fact it was probably a lot slower???? that then leaves the motorway and negotiates the roundabout at 29mph..

If they fnd him they should make him take some riding lessons

I dunno... it seems plausible to me running a bike with a huge amount of boost on it. Probably agreed the dash is reading all squiffy.

Still, turbo bikes are vicious quick:

(yeah, its a busa and properly done rather than a ZX10? with a huge turbo slapped on it and a cack handed throttle monkey - the busa doesnt spin up or wheelie on the run, but still whacks through the revs silly fast.)

it does not seem fast enough for a zx10r to me i think its a 600 as it does not wheelie that often.
as if it was mine no way i go down a road that straight with out a wheelie.
and did it top over 170mph

I'm just jolly glad that the police will be committing manpower and resources into tracking this guy down.

He may be a bit of a nob but it's a victimless crime.

I only hope the cretins who stole my bikes last year post a similar video. That way they could suffer more than having a incedent number being issued against their mistermeaner.

I suspect that they will have committed more resources to 'finding' someone that was prepared to speak to the press about this and to develop a quote appealing for support..I suspect 10 minutes after the press conference the papers will have been filed pending someone dobbing the bloke in

I think its genuine but the wheel is spinning up making the speedo jump around.

Its defo got a turbo on it so that sort of speed is easily attainable if its on a zx10.

His slow roundabout riding is prob because its difficult to ride at slow speeds, as mentioned above.
07/01/2008 at 18:09
The wheel is spinning and the speedo only goes up to 189, whilst he probably isnt going that fast his back wheel is .

Its dramatically lengthened so wont handle well will just tip if he tries to lean it very far also give little load over the cold back tyres , thats what its not wheelieing

So no nothing is wrong with it apart from lack of traction

It is genuine the bike puts out 450hp

The Muzzy stage 3 turbo is putting out 500 hp and 249ft/lbs. Although I cannot see the video at work, it sounds reasonable for a turbo zx-10 to be silly fast if it has numbers like this:

Ok, following some of the comments we've had on this story, we're going to look into this a bit further. I've timed the rider from the point at which he nails it just before the bridge (doing about 100mph), until he hits 189mph: the sprint took him a fraction under six seconds.

This is obviously extremely quick, but he could well be riding a modified bike and speedos can over read for any number of reasons - including manufacturer tolerances. So, there's a good chance that the indicated speed is far greater than his actual pace. He also seems to hit the rev limited in top gear, rather than an electronic restrictor and (according to our resident bike expert) shortening gear ratios can also cause over reading on a superbike.
